Clean Air
Clean Air contains no harmful levels of pollutants (dirt and chemicals). Clean air is crucial for good health. Our calculator estimates the amount of clean air plants produce in a given area per year (based on oxygen and carbon dioxide atomic weights).
Carbon dioxide
Plants naturally sequester carbon from the atmosphere and store it in their stems, roots, and surrounding soil. Our calculator assesses the reduction of CO2 levels in a given area per year.
People impacted
The term "people impacted per year" refers to the number of individuals who benefit from the oxygen plants release. To estimate the amount of human oxygen consumption that can be satisfied by this process, the calculator uses an average adult human oxygen consumption rate of 215 m3 per year.
Km offset per year
Every year, hundreds of millions of kilometres are driven in gasoline-fuelled vehicles, leaving a trail of emissions. This metric shows how many kilometres are offset due to newly planted areas.
